
Commanders, Washington, D.C. Will Host 2027 NFL Draft on National Mall
The site of the 2027 NFL draft is officially set.
On Monday, President Donald Trump announced at the White House that the 2027 draft will take place at the National Mall in Washington, D.C., with the Washington Commanders as the hosts.

Commanders owner Josh Harris and NFL commissioner Roger Goodell predict more than one million people will attend the draft in 2027, according to ESPN.com's John Keim.
Mark Maske and Nicki Jhabvala of the Washington Post first reported the news before Monday's official announcement.
This marks the first time that the draft will be in Washington since 1941. The event had been held in New York from 1965 to 2014 before bouncing around to a different location year by year.
This year's draft was held in Green Bay, and the 2026 draft will be in Pittsburgh between Point State Park and the Pittsburgh Steelers' home of Acrisure Stadium.
The 2027 NFL draft class is already expected to include a talented crop of players. Ohio State wide receiver Jeremiah Smith and Alabama wide receiver Ryan Williams headline an impressive group. There's also an expectation that Texas quarterback Arch Manning could forgo the 2026 NFL draft and stay in school for his senior year, which would make the 2027 class even more loaded.
The NFL draft is one of the most exciting events of the year as future stars achieve their dreams of making it to the next level. It can be expected that the Commanders and Washington will have big things in store for the draft when it comes to town in 2027.
