Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone, Kenny Bednarik Lead Winners at 2025 Grand Slam Track Miami

The second of four Grand Slam Track meets came to an end Sunday with a handful of dominant performances from some of the biggest names in the sport.

Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone, fresh off a year that saw her take home a pair of gold medals at the Paris Olympics, controlled the 400-meter with a time of 49.69.

That win came after she previously won the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 52.07 to pick up a clean sweep in the long hurdles category. While there are still two meets left this year, McLaughlin-Levrone is making a strong push to win Racer of the Year. She currently leads the women's group with 48 points and has a dominance score, which is used as a tie-breaker if needed, of 81.50.

It was a similarly dominant weekend for Kenneth Bednarek, who swept the men's short sprints group. Bednarek won the 100-meter with a time of 9.79 earlier this week before winning the 200-meter with a new world lead time of 19.84.

Like McLaughlin-Levrone, Bednarek is making a case for Men's Racer of the Year. He's currently tied for first with Alison Dos Santos, but has the edge thanks to a dominance score of 55.25.

Grant Fisher won the Slam title in the men's long distance group on Sunday by posting a 13:40.32 in the 5000-meter. He came in second in the 3000-meter earlier in the weekend with a time of 8:17.60, just behind Andrew Coscoran.

Fisher's win made him the third repeat Slam Champion of the season, and he's currently third in total points behind Bednarek and Dos Santos.

Trey Cunningham used a personal best time of 10.17 in the 100-meter combined with a time of 13.00 in the 110-meter hurdles earlier this weekend to seal a clean sweep in the men's short hurdles category.

After another exciting weekend of races, the focus now shifts to Philadelphia for the third meet of the season later this month. After that, it's on to Los Angeles in June for the final meet of the season.
