Oscar Piastri Wins 2025 Miami F1 Grand Prix for 3rd Straight Victory, Verstappen 4th

Oscar Piastri continued his phenomenal year on Sunday, winning the Miami F1 Grand Prix for the McLaren F1 Team.

The win marks Piastri's fourth of the season after he picked up wins at the Heineken Chinese Grand Prix in March and the Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix and SRC Saudi Arabian Grand Prix in April. The 24-year-old Australian has now doubled his win total from a year ago.

As far as the season standings go, Piastri bolstered his first place thanks to yet another win. His teammate, Lando Norris, sits just behind him in second place. While Max Verstappen failed to crack the top three on Sunday, he's still in third place on the season, with George Russell Behind him in fourth.

Early on in the race, it was a battle between Piastri and Verstappen. While Verstappen led through the early stages, Piastri claimed the lead on the 13th lap and left Verstappen behind.

There was some potential for some late-race drama with Norris and Russell not too far behind Piastri, but the two ultimately couldn't catch up to him as he cruised to another win.

It's been a season of dominance for Piastri and for the McLaren team as a whole. The McLaren team finished in first and second for the second time this year as Piastri and Norris continue to prove themselves as two of the best drivers in Formula 1.

They'll look to continue their run of dominance next week at the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix.
