Kenny Bednarek Remains Unbeaten, Gabby Thomas Wins at Grand Slam Track Miami Day 2

Kenny Bednarek and Gabby Thomas were among those who showed out for a sold out crowd at Day 2 of Grand Slam Track Miami.

Bednarek took home the victory in the men's 100m short sprints and Thomas was victorious in the women's 200m short sprints.

Bednarek leads the pack on the men's side with 12 total points while Melissa Jefferson-Wooden is the women's leader with 18 points. Thomas is right behind Wooden in second place at 17 points.

Thomas is a three-time Olympic gold medalist and also has won a bronze and silver at the Games. Her golds came in the 2024 Paris Olympics while she won her bronze and silver in Paris.

Bednarek is a two-time silver medalist at the Olympics, securing the medals in the 200m dash at the Paris and Tokyo Olympics.

This is the second race after the season opener in Kingston, Jamaica, early in April. The racers will be back in action at the end of May in Philadelphia and then the season will conclude in late June in Los Angeles.
