Daniel Jeremiah Hypes Drake Maye, C.J. Stroud as Winners of 2025 NFL Draft
One major goal of the NFL Draft is getting players who can support your quarterback, and a handful of teams did that exceptionally well.
NFL Network's Daniel Jeremiah provided his biggest winners at the quarterback position from the draft, giving the nod to New England Patriots second-year man Drake Maye and Houston Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud.
On the 40s and Free Agents podcast, Jeremiah praised the Patriots for landing running back TreVeyon Henderson, who Jeremiah believes will do more than just run the ball.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
"When you look at Drake Maye, how stoked are you when you're going to get a back in TreVeyon Henderson, who's someone I can not only throw the ball to, give me some easy completions, he's the best pass-protecting back maybe in the last decade," Jeremiah said. "So, I'm going to get better protection. That's a huge win."
He also commended New England for getting Maye some protection on the front line in the form of left tackle Will Campbell and center Jared Wilson. Additionally, the Patriots landed a receiver in Kyle Williams.
"There is no argument that [Will Campbell] is a much better option than what they were playing with last year," Jeremiah said. "Jared Wilson is one of the most athletic centers, in fact, the most athletic center in this draft... And then Kyle Williams, I love his ability to win. He can win at the line of scrimmage, he can separate at the top of routes."
Two of the Texans' biggest additions from the draft were wide receivers and former Iowa State teammates Jayden Higgins and Jaylin Noel.
"Higgins, to me, was one who reminded me of Nico Collins," Jeremiah said. "Kind of a power forward body but someone who can run small-man routes because of his quickness, his ability to get in and out of breaks, can track the ball really well... And then with Tank Dell's injury, you get Noel, his teammate. Jaylen Noel, who can win in the slot with speed and strength. He's got a lot of power to him."
The Patriots and Texans reloaded with some talent in the draft, and now they'll look to put together playoff-caliber seasons.
