Titans 2025 NFL Schedule Released for Cam Ward's Rookie Season After Going No. 1
It's a new era for the Tennessee Titans.
After a disastrous 3-14 season a year ago, the Titans used their No. 1 pick to select Miami star quarterback Cam Ward, and now they're looking to return to being a playoff-caliber team.

Analysis
The Titans missed the playoffs for a third consecutive season and posted their worst record in a decade in 2024, so it's hard to have high expectations for Tennessee, even with Ward coming to town.
Expectations are reasonably high for Ward after he threw for 4,313 yards and 39 touchdowns in 2024, but a rookie quarterback can only do so much for a team that went 3-14 a year ago.
The 2025 season will be mostly about getting Ward comfortable as the Titans continue their rebuild. If they manage to post a .500 or better record, it should be considered a success.
Reaching the playoffs seems like a bit of a stretch for the Titans, but we've seen teams turn things around immediately thanks to rookie quarterbacks in the past.
Pivotal Matchups
The Titans on the surface don't seem like a playoff contender, but if they take care of business in the winnable matchups and pull off a few upsets, they could sneak into the postseason.
Luckily for Tennessee, it plays in a very forgiving division, meaning it will have a handful of manageable games on the schedule.
The most important matchups will be home contests against the Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts and Jacksonville Jaguars. The Titans will also take on those three AFC South foes on the road.
From there, Tennessee should be able to compete against the New England Patriots and New Orleans Saints at home, considering those two squads are in a similar position to the Titans in terms of rebuilding. Winning road games against the Arizona Cardinals, Cleveland Browns and Las Vegas Raiders will be crucial as well.
All in all, the Titans' schedule is manageable, or at least a bit easier than last years. Ward has given fans hope for the season and StubHub revealed interest more than doubled after the quarterback was selected. Expect Tennessee to drop a few winnable contests, but don't be surprised if the Titans are still competing for a playoff spot late in the season.
