Adam Schefter Cites Source Saying to 'Expect Explosives' in NFL Draft's Top 10 Picks

The NFL draft is nearly upon us, and there might be fireworks right off the bat.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Thursday that a "well-placed source" told him to "expect explosives" while discussing the top 10 picks in the first round.

But what sort of explosives?

There's been plenty of reporting surrounding the Cleveland Browns and potentially trading back from No. 2, for one:

The Jacksonville Jaguars, meanwhile, seem to be a team expected to make some sort of a major splash, potentially in a trade with the Browns:

And it sounds like a ton of teams are open for business when it comes to either moving up or down in the first round:

If the Jaguars moved up to No. 2 with the intent of drafting star wideout and cornerback Travis Hunter, it would certainly register as an explosive development. That would provide the Jaguars with a true game-changer and add a jolt of electricity to the franchise, while Browns fans might very well despair if the team gives away the chance to add a dynamic playmaker of Hunter's variety.

It's possible, of course, that other huge deals could transpire. Teams who covet Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty, for instance, may need to move up the board to land him:

One thing that would be a pretty big surprise at this point, however, is teams moving into the top 10 to take a quarterback. With Cam Ward widely believed to be heading to the Tennessee Titans, there are questions about where players like Shedeur Sanders and Jaxson Dart will wind up.

It seems more likely that teams may try to trade back into the end of the first round to land either player, however, rather than using a top-10 pick on them.

So expect fireworks early on. Just don't expect it to necessarily include quarterbacks.
