The Tennessee Titans selected Cal CB Marcus Harris with the No. 183 overall pick in the 2025 NFL draft.

Marcus Harris is a man-coverage corner who primarily played on the boundary in college but might have to move to nickelback in the NFL due to his size. He has plenty of speed to avoid getting beat deep and could help contribute on special teams.

Harris has the potential to make an NFL roster if he can carve out a role as a specialist and reserve defensive back, but he must improve his tackling form. That could make him a good candidate to develop on a practice squad for a year or two.

— Solid ball production with two interceptions and six passes defended in 13 games last season.

— Good speed to avoid getting beat deep when left on an island.

— Solid start-stop ability against curl routes.

— Doesn't bite on double-moves in man coverage. Sinks his hips and keeps his feet moving to stay in phase.

— Good at recognizing and picking up his man against switch releases from bunch sets.

NEGATIVES

— Undersized and has short arms. Will be viewed as a slot-only corner by some teams.

— Lack of size and strength impacts his ability to affect receivers with a jam when playing press coverage, stay in-phase against physical route-runners and defend against contested catches.

— Quick to open his hips when playing off coverage and has subpar change of direction, making it difficult for him to cover dig routes.

— Doesn't have the short-area quickness to break up passes when clicking and closing.

— Needs to be better at maintaining leverage post-snap.

— Not a willing run defender and dives at feet when tackling.
