Living Colour Plays 'Cult of Personality' for CM Punk's WWE WrestleMania 41 Entrance
CM Punk received a special entrance for his first WrestleMania main event on Saturday night.
As Punk walked out at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas for WrestleMania 41, rock band Living Colour gave a live performance of "Cult of Personality."
Punk faced off against Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins in a Triple Threat match to close Night 1, with Rollins ultimately emerging victorious.
Living Colour has played the song live for Punk before, doing so for his entrance at WrestleMania 29.
The 46-year-old has used the song as his theme since 2011, discussing the significance of track for him in Jan. 2022.
"I was this guy the fans loved," Punk said (h/t Eric Mutter of WrestlingInc.com). "So the song 'Cult of Personality' represents when there is a distinct individual who has such charisma, such personality, that they develop this following, and it's really not anything more than a cult. And more often times than not, that person turns out to be very dangerous."
He first signed with WWE in 2005, becoming a five-time world champion before leaving in 2014. Punk eventually signed with AEW in 2021 and later joined WWE once again, making his return at Survivor Series 2023.
While he wasn't able to triumph over longtime rivals Reigns and Rollins in Saturday's main event, Punk still had an engaging entrance to the match.
