The 38th annual SummerSlam is set to take place on Saturday, Aug. 2 and Sunday, Aug. 3.

Cardi B first teased her involvement in SummerSlam last September in a promo with Bianca Belair, who previously expressed interest in "a tag team or partnership" with the rapper.

The two revealed that the event in East Rutherford, New Jersey, would make the first two-night SummerSlam in WWE history.

WrestleMania has similarly been a two-night event since WrestleMania 36 in 2020.

The WWE reportedly hoped to feature Cardi B in the 2021 edition of SummerSlam, but her appearance was delayed by her pregnancy that year, according to Fightful Select (h/t Coming Soon's Ojas Kulkarni.)

The 2024 SummerSlam took place in Cleveland, Ohio, at Huntington Bank Field, known at the time as Cleveland Browns Stadium. The event was highlighted by the WWE return of Roman Reigns and Liv Morgan defending the Women's World Championship against Rhea Ripley.

The event drew 57,719 fans, setting a WWE record for fan attendance outside of WrestleMania, according to WWE.

The WWE could be hoping to top that total in 2025 at MetLife, where WrestleMania 35 drew a sold-out crowd out 82,265 fans in 2019, per WWE.
