Will Howard Reportedly 'Might' Fall to NFL Draft Day 3 amid Arm Strength Concerns
Quarterback Will Howard reportedly may have to wait a couple of days before hearing his name called at the 2025 NFL draft.
Zac Jackson of The Athletic reported that while Howard impressed in interviews, concerns with his arm strength could result in him falling to at least the fourth round.
"From the scouts and personnel people I spoke with, Howard is an interesting player who’s impressed in interviews and with his football acumen," Jackson wrote. "But there are concerns about his arm strength and consistency, and the feeling is that Howard is in the third tier of quarterbacks in this class. He might go in the third round, but he also might have to wait until Day 3 to hear his name called."

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Howard is rated as the No. 54 overall player and the No. 3 quarterback in the draft class by Bleacher Report's NFL Scouting Department. He threw for 4,010 yards with 35 touchdowns and 10 interceptions while leading Ohio State to a 14-2 overall record and a College Football Playoff National Championship.
The 23-year-old played five collegiate seasons and is one of the more experienced quarterbacks in the class. However, his physical tools lag behind some of the other quarterbacks in the draft, and his ceiling may be lower than over developmental projects like Jalen Milroe.
Still, he should enter as one of the more pro-ready quarterbacks and could serve as a solid backup, especially for a contender.
The draft is set for April 24-26 in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
