Dom Mysterio Wins WWE IC Title at WrestleMania 41 vs. Bron Breakker, Penta, Finn Balor
Dominik Mysterio defeated Bron Breakker, Finn Balor and Penta in a Fatal 4-Way match to win the Intercontinental Championship on Night 2 of WrestleMania 41 on Sunday.
The match quickly shifted from a Fatal 4-Way to what felt like Balor and Mysterio vs. Breakker vs. Penta, as the Judgment Day members teamed up early.

That alliance didn’t last long—once it was just Balor and Mysterio in the ring, the latter went for a 619 but got caught with a counter. From there, chaos broke loose.
It became every man for himself, and Carlito started interfering from ringside to aid Balor and Mysterio—until Breakker charged in and speared him straight through the announce table.
Just when it looked like Balor had the win locked up, Mysterio came flying in with a surprise Frog Splash to steal the pin—and the Intercontinental Championship.
In the weeks leading up to WrestleMania, Breakker and the IC title became the target of several high-profile Superstars on Raw.
Mysterio, Balor and Penta all had singles matches against Breakker for the Intercontinental Championship, and Breakker emerged each time with his title reign still intact.
Dominik was first in line on the Feb. 24 episode of Raw, but the match had an unsatisfying ending, as Balor and Carlito attacked Breakker, resulting in a disqualification.
Three weeks later, Balor got his shot at Breakker, and as the bout neared its conclusion, it looked as though the Irishman was closing in on becoming intercontinental champion for the third time in his career.
However, interference from The Judgment Day backfired, as Dominik accidentally caused his teammate to get crotched on the ropes, allowing Breakker to take advantage and pick up the victory.
The Judgment Day attacked Breakker after the match in retaliation, but Penta made the save, leading to a staredown between Bron and Penta to close the show.
Breakker and Penta met with the IC title hanging in the balance the following week, and The Judgment Day made its presence felt again with Balor, Mysterio and Carlito jumping Breakker.
They also took out Penta when he attempted to intervene, leaving The Judgment Day to stand tall as Raw went off the air.
With so much bad blood between all four Superstars, it only made sense for Raw general manager Adam Pearce to book them in a Fatal 4-Way at WrestleMania.
Mysterio took advantage of the chaos to win the IC title, marking the start of his first singles championship reign on the WWE main roster.
