NFL Exec Says Tyler Warren 'Checks Every Box' For 'Character, Toughness, Intelligence'

Ahead of the 2025 NFL draft, Penn State tight end Tyler Warren has reportedly made a strong impression on front offices.

“He checks every box — character, toughness, intelligence, and he’s just scratching the surface athletically," one executive told Fox Sports' Jordan Schultz. "There’s not much to overthink.”

Warren is viewed as "one of the cleanest prospects" in the draft by teams, per Schultz.

Sportskeeda's Tony Pauline reported on March 29 that the tight end had private workouts scheduled with the Chicago Bears, Indianapolis Colts, New Orleans Saints New York Jets, Los Angeles Chargers and Los Angeles Rams.

Warren's role in the Nittany Lions' offense steadily increased throughout his college career, as his receiving touchdown totals and receiving yards per game averages increased during each year he spent at the school.

He's also coming off a 2024 campaign in which he led the Big Ten with 104 catches, racking up 1,451 all-purpose yards and 12 total scores.

On the most recent big board from Bleacher Report's NFL Scouting Department, Warren was ranked as the No. 2 tight end and No. 16 overall player in the 2025 draft class.
