Where Are My Buckeyes?

 

Well it is the week of the Big Game in Columbus. Ticket prices are dropping after the Buckeyes tough game. Buckeye nation is not very confident. Predictions of routs have crossed my e-mail.

 

Why is confidence so low? The recruiting classes have been near the top. We win Big Ten Tittles. We handle our rival Up North, for now. We have enough wins in the MAC to qualify for their Championship. Oops, not funny. I love that Ohio Schools are benefiting, but what price are we paying? Navy did us a favor making us play for four quarters.

 

Oh that's right, National TV, bright lights not our favorite thing right now.  

 

The defense has been gashed in recent Prime Time Events. We don't even look like we belong on the same field. Where is the Pride of the Buckeyes? Where are the Silver Bullets attacking defense? Is there complacency caused by their accomplishments in every other game?  What is the problem on that side of the ball in Big Games. Penn State has been our only challenge in the Big Ten of late.

 

The Buckeyes I grew up where they pounded on you for three quarters. They owned the fourth quarter. Our offensive line has been questioned by the national media. Right now we don't have that signature Buckeye Back. That Back that wears you out for the fourth quarter finish. 

 

Let's hope my Buckeyes show up to earn some respect. The caliber of the Big Ten has been questioned. How much of that have we contributed to?   

 

Just a quick note about the Browns. I am excited by what is going on in Cleveland. I feel they will be a team that fights for four quarters. mistakes should be down. The Special Teams will be very exciting this year. Write it down!!

 

They will be physical and smart. I think they will be a game above or a game below five hundred, depending on the breaks. Play hard, somebody wins, somebody loses. That is all I ask of a football team, effort. Coach Mangini has pushed them in camp. Jamal said it was the toughest he had seen. Toughest, that should help us be ready.

 

Good Luck Coach Mangini!! I think Brady is the starter. No matter who it is, a fan, like the players, supports the coaches direction and decision. 

 

I think my Browns will make me proud this year. My bigger concern is this Saturday night!!! 

What will it be like in Cleveland on Sunday? Elation, or disappointment in the Big Game, again?
