Johor Southern Tigers vs. Borussia Dortmund: BVB Preview, Live Stream and TV

Stefan BienkowskiJul 8, 2015

Borussia Dortmund continue their tour of Asia this week with a trip to Singapore, where they will face Johor Southern Tigers in the second test of their pre-season tour.

Thomas Tuchel's side looked on song and well prepared for the task at hand earlier in the week when they traveled to Japan and overcame a Kawasaki Frontale side 6-0 despite Tuchel reshuffling his team at half-time.

Although Thursday's game will undoubtedly prove of great interest to fans of either side, we can certainly expect the new manager to once again shake things about throughout the 90 minutes.

Predicted Lineup

Although Tuchel may have every intention of starting an entirely different team, it would seem most likely that Dortmund will line up in a similar fashion to how they showed up against Kawasaki earlier in the week.

This then means we should see Roman Burki start just his second game for the Bundesliga side, with Lukasz Piszczek at right-back and Erik Durm at left-back as well as Mats Hummels and Neven Subotic in the middle of defence.

Things become a little more interesting in midfield, where Tuchel should once again start Julian Weigl as the side's sole defensive midfielder. We can then expect to see Shinji Kagawa and probably Henrikh Mkhitaryan playing in front of him as something of a midfield three.

Add to that a front three of Marco Reus, Jonas Hofmann and Gonzalo Castro to make up the starting XI for Thursday's game.

Key Player: Shinji Kagawa

Although there will undoubtedly be bigger names on the pitch for Dortmund on the night, it will be interesting to see if Kagawa carries on his form from the game earlier this week.

In front of a Japanese crowd, the attacking midfielder was truly outstanding, scoring two goals and pulling the strings for many more on the night.

Of course, little can be made of a solitary performance in a throwaway friendly, but two strong games in a row may well suggest the Japanese international is raring to go for the new season. We await to see.
