Kevin Trapp to PSG: Latest Transfer Details, Reaction and More
Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain have confirmed the signing of Eintracht Frankfurt goalkeeper Kevin Trapp on a five-year deal.
The French side confirmed the transfer on Wednesday via their official website:
Though the transfer fee paid for the German shot-stopper is undisclosed, ESPN FC's Jens Weber reports it at around €10 million (£7.2 million).
The 25-year-old Trapp will compete with Salvatore Sirigu and Nicolas Douchez for the No. 1 shirt at the Parc des Princes.
Trapp appeared 22 times in the Bundesliga for Eintracht last term, keeping five clean sheets, per WhoScored.com.
German football writer Alex Schaffer has seen consistent progress from Trapp and believes he could flourish at PSG:
PSG's report indicates that Trapp will immediately join his new team-mates at pre-season training in Austria as Laurent Blanc's side prepare for the upcoming season, in which they will be looking to compete for the Ligue 1 title and Champions League glory.
