Quinn Ewers Impresses Fans at Texas Pro Day amid Jets, Cowboys, NFL Draft Rumors

Texas held its pro day on Tuesday, and Quinn Ewers more than held his own.

The quarterback looked accurate in his throwing session in front of NFL evaluators, as Ewers looks to bolster his draft stock heading into April.

It wasn't a perfect session from Ewers, who didn't display the prettiest of deep balls, but overall was a very strong performance:

For the time being, Ewers seems likely to be selected somewhere between the second and fourth rounds. Cam Ward and Shedeur Sanders are safe bets to go in the first round, and Jaxson Dart might crack that list as well, and then there are a group of quarterbacks clustered in the next tier that include Ewers, Jalen Milroe, Tyler Shough, Will Howard and Dillon Gabriel, among others.

Currently, the B/R NFL Scouting Department has Ewers listed as the No. 108 player overall on its big board and the No. 8 quarterback, which would put him in the mix around the third or fourth round.

Granted, opinions will vary. But ESPN's Mel Kiper Jr. has Ewers ranked No. 9 among quarterbacks, another indication that he likely will be a middle-round selection.

Will a solid pro day change that forecast for NFL teams? That, of course, depends on the team, how his interviews go, etc. For now, however, it feels like he may not be a player who hears his name called until the final day of the draft.
