Cam Ward to Titans, Shedeur Sanders to Giants in ESPN 'Ideal' Mini 2025 NFL Mock Draft

With the 2025 NFL Draft nearly one month away, the candidates to be selected at the top are starting to crystalize.

Jordan Reid, Field Yates and Matt Miller of ESPN conducted an "ideal" mini mock draft that projected the first 12 picks of the 2025 draft on Friday.

In the exercise, the group had quarterback Cam Ward going No. 1 to the Tennessee Titans, two-way star Travis Hunter going No. 2 to the Cleveland Browns, quarterback Shedeur Sanders going third to the New York Giants and edge rusher Abdul Carter going fourth to the New England Patriots.

The Titans went 3-14 in 2024 and quarterbacks Mason Rudolph and Will Levis were uninspiring with their play. Rudolph departed in free agency and Reid projected that the team would lock down a new signal-caller at No. 1 overall.

"The Titans can secure their franchise quarterback by taking the best one in the class," Reid wrote. "Ward would provide an instant boost and some hope to an offense that struggled in every way imaginable last season."

The Browns also went 3-14 in 2024 and also had four quarterbacks take snaps under center. However, with Ward off of the board, Miller had the team selecting Hunter to potentially fill multiple needs.

"Abdul Carter is the best player on my board, but Hunter is close and fills two needs for the Browns," Miller wrote. "He would give them another threat at wide receiver and a starting-level cornerback."

The Giants also had quarterback issues in 2024 but have been pursuing free agent quarterback Aaron Rodgers this offseason. Still, Yates had the team adding depth to the position and taking the second best quarterback in the class.

The Patriots are the only team in the top four with a solidified quarterback after taking Drake Maye in the 2024 draft. The team went 4-13 last season and Reid had them selecting the best defensive player on the board.

Bleacher Report's NFL Scouting Department released its latest mock draft this week which features Ward going No. 1 to the Titans, Sanders going second to the Browns, Hunter third to the Giants and Carter fourth to the Patriots.

The 2025 NFL Draft is set for April 24-26 in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
