NFL Insider: No Team Expects Shedeur Sanders to Slide in 2025 Draft Despite Rumors
It is reportedly not believed within the NFL that Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders will experience a steep fall in the 2025 NFL draft.
Sanders has been in competition with Miami's Cam Ward to be the top quarterback selected in the draft, and given that each of the top three teams in the draft order have a need at the position, Sanders may be positioned to come off the board early.
ESPN's Matt Miller reported Friday that nobody "employed by an NFL team" has expressed to him that Sanders is in danger of sliding in the draft. Miller added that he believes Sanders' absolute floor is the Pittsburgh Steelers at No. 21 overall.

Field Yates of ESPN reported that many of the league sources he has spoken to view Ward as the "clear-cut best option" at quarterback, and some have told him they would be "apprehensive" about using a top-10 pick on Sanders.
Even so, other sources have told Yates that Sanders has a real shot at being a top-three pick, and Yates feels it is unlikely he will fall out of the top 15.
ESPN's Jordan Reid placed Sanders' floor even higher at the No. 7 overall pick, which is owned by the New York Jets.
Reid noted that Sanders going second overall to the Cleveland Browns or third overall to the New York Giants is also possible, assuming the Tennessee Titans take Ward first overall.
With regard to the Browns, ESPN's Jeremy Fowler said Friday on Get Up that they like Sanders' "processing speed, mental game at the line of scrimmage," and that there is "love" for Sanders within the organization.
Because of that, Fowler did not rule out the possibility of the Browns taking Sanders at No. 2 if Ward goes No. 1.
The BR NFL Scouting Department is aligned with Fowler, as it projected Sanders to go second overall to Cleveland in its latest mock draft.
Sanders has been a polarizing prospect during the pre-draft process, as some negative reports have come out regarding his attitude.
NFL insider Josina Anderson reported that a quarterbacks coach from a team with a top-seven pick in the draft expressed their belief that Sanders came across as "brash" and "arrogant" in interviews.
Also, NFL draft insider Todd McShay reported that some teams felt Sanders didn't have a "professional approach" during meetings.
The 2025 NFL draft class is light on top-end quarterback talent, though, with Ward and Sanders as the only surefire first-rounders, and Ole Miss' Jaxson Dart perhaps putting himself in the conversation.
Because of that, combined with how many teams have an obvious need at quarterback, it seems likely that some franchise will take a chance on Sanders early in the draft after watching him throw for 7,364 yards, 64 touchdowns and 13 interceptions in two seasons at Colorado.
