Titans Rumors: Travis Hunter, Abdul Carter, Trade 'Still in Play' amid Cam Ward Buzz

Numerous outcomes are reportedly still on the table for the Tennessee Titans as it relates to the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NFL draft.

According to ESPN's Matt Miller, "nothing is settled" when it comes to what the Titans will do with the top pick, and some of the possibilities "still in play" include taking Colorado wide receiver/cornerback Travis Hunter or Penn State pass-rusher Abdul Carter at No. 1, or trading down.

The Titans truly hold the key to how the top of the draft will play out since they can realistically go in so many different directions.

Each team with a top-three pick has a need at quarterback, including the Titans, who are returning Will Levis and saw Mason Rudolph return to the Pittsburgh Steelers in free agency.

Miller said he has spoken to sources who have said NFL executives "aren't quite convinced on this quarterback class," but that doesn't mean the Titans will pass up on the opportunity to select Miami quarterback Cam Ward.

In fact, ESPN's Jordan Reid reported that "signs are trending toward" the Titans staying at No. 1 overall and taking Ward, and multiple league sources "are preparing for that outcome."

ESPN's Field Yates agreed with Reid, calling Ward the "strong favorite" to go first overall to Tennessee.

However, like Miller, Yates left open the possibility of the Titans trading down if they "receive a trade offer too good to refuse."

The BR NFL Scouting Department also had Ward going to No. 1 overall to Tennessee in its latest mock draft.

Levis, who was the Titans' second-round pick in the 2023 NFL draft, showed some promise as a rookie, completing 58.4 percent of his passes for 1,808 yards, eight touchdowns and four interceptions in nine starts.

He didn't really improve with a larger sample size last season, though, completing 63.1 percent of his passing attempts for 2,091 yards, 13 touchdowns and 12 picks, and posting a 2-10 record in 12 starts.

While there are still some veteran quarterbacks available in free agency, the only other quarterback on Tennessee's roster right now is Brandon Allen, who is 2-8 in 10 starts since 2019.

Because of the Titans' lack of aggressiveness in adding to the quarterback room, it suggests Ward may be firmly on their radar.

Miami's pro day is on Monday, though, and Ward's performance on the field and in interviews could potentially play a big role in what the Titans ultimately decide to do.
