Video: Shedeur Sanders Talks About Receiving 'A Lot of Hate' During Pre-Draft Process

At this point, Shedeur Sanders has grown accustomed to any outside criticism that is sent his way.

"Well, we always understood to block out the noise, even from Jackson State and Colorado," he told NFL Network's Bucky Brooks at Thursday's Big 12 Pro Day. "It's a lot of critics, it's a lot of hate. But we know what to do, we know how to handle that in every way. So we remain happy."

Few prospects seem to divide opinion quite like Sanders, though draft experts are starting to come closer to a consensus on where he'll come off the board.

The B/R NFL Scouting Department, for instance, ranked Sanders No. 18 on its latest big board and projected him to go No. 2 overall to the Cleveland Browns in Thursday's updated mock draft.

NFL Network's Daniel Jeremiah also believes Sanders is the No. 18 player in this draft class and projected him to the New York Giants at No. 3 on his latest mock. ESPN's Mel Kiper Jr. also believes the Giants will select Sanders third overall.

In its scouting report of Sanders, the B/R NFL Scouting Department noted that his "natural and pure passing abilities are the strength of his game. He is capable of winning from clean pockets and out of structure. Sanders will pick defenses apart with his quick release and accuracy. He is a high-floor prospect with a good enough ceiling to buy into. With his experience and the challenges he has faced, he is worth betting on."

There are questions about whether Sanders has the sort of ceiling that other quarterbacks in this class possess, though in an overall weak quarterback class, he shouldn't wait too long to hear his name called.

Sanders is a polarizing prospect, but NFL teams generally don't wait long to address the quarterback position. Regardless of where he ends up, Sanders will have the chance to silence his critics.
