Abby Wambach Leads 'I Believe That We Just Won' Chant in American Celebration
The United States captured the Women's World Cup on Sunday, lifting the cup after a dominant 5-2 win over Japan in the rematch of the 2011 final, an American defeat.
On Tuesday, the team was welcomed home and given a hero's welcome in a wild celebration in Los Angeles.
Retiring legend Abby Wambach led the fans in a chant (above) of the popular American chant "I believe that we will win"—only in the past tense "I believe that we just won," much to everyone's appreciation.
Naturally, there were selfies to mark the occasion.
And a lot of poses with the hard-earned trophy.
All in all, it was tremendous theatre for the World Cup winners.

Star Alex Morgan finished things off by putting the victory into proper historical perspective.
