Livvy Dunne to Miss LSU Gymnastics Senior Night With Knee Injury Diagnosed As Fracture
Superstar LSU gymnast Livvy Dunne announced that she will be unable to compete in the No.2 Tigers' Senior Night matchup against No. 10 Georgia on Friday due to a fractured patella.
In a post on her Instagram Stories (h/t TMZ Sports), Dunne wrote: "Unfortunately, I've been dealing with an avulsion fracture of my patella and will not be able to compete on senior night. It absolutely breaks my heart not to get the opportunity to compete in the PMAC one last time."
Dunne, 22, has been part of the LSU gymnastics team since 2020, and she returned for her fifth and final year of college eligibility this season.
With Dunne as a key member of the squad, LSU won the national championship last year, marking the first ever team national title for the Tigers.
Dunne, who is in a relationship with Pittsburgh Pirates ace starting pitcher Paul Skenes, is perhaps best known for her social media presence, as she has over 5 million followers on Instagram.
She also has the fourth-highest name, image and likeness (NIL) valuation of any collegiate athlete, per On3.com. With a value of $4.1 million, Dunne trails only Texas quarterback Arch Manning, Duke forward Cooper Flagg and Miami quarterback Carson Beck.
Dunne has sponsorship deals with several brands, including Vuori, Nautica, Accelerator, Leaf Trading Cards, Motorola, Caktus AI, American Eagle and Body Armor, according to SI.com's Michael Ehrlich.
