Charles Davis NFL Mock Draft 2025: Jaxson Dart to Giants After Shedeur Sanders, Ward

Timothy RappMar 5, 2025

The general consensus ahead of the 2025 NFL draft is that Cam Ward has definitively moved ahead of Shedeur Sanders in the quarterback rankings, and that it's a fairly week group of signal-callers in general.

But where many draft pundits have zigged, Charles Davis of NFL Network has zagged, projecting Sanders as the top overall pick to the Tennessee Titans in his latest mock draft. He then mocked Ward to the Cleveland Browns at No. 2 and, perhaps in the biggest surprise of the bunch, Jaxson Dart at No. 3 to the New York Giants.

For reference, the B/R NFL Scouting Department has Ward ranked No. 9 on its latest big board, Sanders No. 18 and Dart No. 58. While teams tend to overpay to secure quarterbacks, Sanders going No. 1 overall and Dart landing in the top three would be fairly huge shockers.

Davis' quarterbacks run meant that Penn State edge-rusher Abdul Carter was available for the New England Patriots at No. 4, a scenario that would surely thrill New England, while Colorado two-way threat Travis Hunter was on the board for the Jacksonville Jaguars at No. 5.

Hunter ranks No. 1 on the B/R NFL Scouting Department's latest big board, while Carter is No. 2.

Other notable projections from Davis included Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty going to the Dallas Cowboys at No. 11, Penn State tight end Tyler Warren going No. 14 to the Indianapolis Colts and wideout Tetairoa McMillan falling all the way to No. 19 for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Those three came in at No. 8, No. 16 and No. 6, respectively, on the B/R NFL Scouting Department big board.
