'Luis Suarez' Stars as a Vampire in a New Children's Book

Eureka! 

That was the thought of children's author Peter Barron when he saw Luis Suarez's now-infamous biting incident against Giorgio Chiellini at the 2014 World Cup.

Barron was writing his new book Daydreaming Daisy McCloud, which is set in a monster school, but was short one monster. 

Suarez's actions provided him with all the inspiration he needed. 

Barron told the Mirror:

When I was writing the book Luis Suarez had been in trouble again for biting another opponent.

So when I needed a striker to complete my monstrous line-up he seemed to fit the bill.

I just hope he sees the funny side of it and the idea doesn't come back to bite me.

Barron has written a series of children's books as part of a "Monstrous Morals" series.
