We're probably not in for weeks of height discourse with Sanders like we had with Bryce Young when he measured 5'10" at the 2023 combine. But it's fair to say the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award winner doesn't have an ideal frame for his position.
Sanders' stock is unlikely to move after the combine ends. He declined to participate in any position drills or workouts, and Saturday's measurements didn't flag anything too worrisome.
The Colorado star is widely considered one of the top two quarterbacks in the 2025 class along with Miami's Cam Ward. And there's a noticeable drop between them and the No. 3 QB.
Ward and Sanders rank eighth and 16th, respectively, on Bleacher Report's big board. Ohio State's Will Howard is the next quarterback on the list at No. 51.
B/R NFL scout Dame Parson compared Sanders to Teddy Bridgewater, who was a Pro Bowler in 2015 before his career was derailed by a major knee injury. Before the combine, the Buffaloes signal-caller looked like a safe bet to be a top-five pick given how much teams prioritize the quarterback position.
That projection is pretty much the same now that we have a better idea of Sanders' physical tools.
