NFL GM Predicts Jaxson Dart Could Overtake Shedeur Sanders as Draft's QB2 at Combine
Even though most projections have Cam Ward and Shedeur Sanders as the top two quarterbacks in the 2025 NFL draft in either order, there are teams who think Jaxson Dart could emerge as the No. 2 signal-caller.
Per ESPN's Matt Miller, one NFL general manager feels like there is a "strong possibility" that Dart could overtake Sanders as QB2 in this class when he works out at the scouting combine this weekend.
Ward may not yet be locked in as the top quarterback in the class, but he seems to be the consensus favorite right now. The Miami standout has yet to announce if he will throw at the combine.

Re-Drafting Every Team's Worst Draft Pick of the Century 😡
Sanders, who is not working out in Indianapolis, has been one of the biggest stars in college football over the past two seasons. He made a strong impression on Cleveland Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski when he interviewed with the team this week.
Dart is a player whose name has popped up as a potential first-round pick if there's going to be a third quarterback selected on Day 1. He was one of the more impressive players on the field during Senior Bowl practices in January.
B/R NFL scout Dame Parson praised Dart for being a "physically talented quarterback with plus-level playmaking ability."
Dart, who spent the past three seasons at Mississippi after transferring from USC, was one of the best quarterbacks in the country in 2024. He threw for 4,279 yards, 29 touchdowns, six interceptions and completed 69.3 percent of his attempts.
If Dart carries over his Senior Bowl performance to the combine, it wouldn't be a surprise if his name starts getting bantered about as a first-round prospect. Sanders has frequently been mocked in the top 10, so that would represent a huge leap by Dart if he surpasses him on draft boards.
