David Villa Shows He's Still Got It with Exquisite Free-Kick for NYCFC
2010 World Cup winner David Villa showed he hasn't lost any of the ruthlessness that has brought him over 250 career goals with an inch-perfect free-kick for New York City FC Saturday night.
With so much of the attention focused on the imminent arrivals of Steven Gerrard and Frank Lampard, Villa stepped up to remind fans the English duo aren't the only European stars to be seen in the MLS.
The former Barcelona and Atletico Madrid striker whipped a sumptuous strike past Montreal Impact goalkeeper Evan Bush to seal a 2-1 win for the New Yorkers.

And the free-kick wasn't Villa's only contribution to the winโhis clinical finish had earlier given New York City a 1-0 lead at half-time.
Villa is set to be joined by new teammate Lampard when New York City face Toronto at Yankee Stadium on Sunday.
