Wimbledon 2015 Schedule: Monday Replay TV Coverage and Live Stream Guide

Sean ODonnellJul 6, 2015

Tennis' top stars received a well-deserved day of rest on Sunday after a crazy opening week at Wimbledon that included plenty of nail-biting action and some unexpected results that sent some prominent players packing far earlier than anticipated.

The surviving competitors are taking the grass courts at the All England Club on Monday in an effort to advance past the round of 16 and continue their journeys to a potential Grand Slam title. However, it won't be easy, as the weaker players have been weeded out, leaving only highly competitive contests the rest of the way.

Monday's contests are still in their infancy; although, one match already concluded with yet another upset. No. 6 Lucie Safarova was ousted from the tournament by surging American Coco Vandeweghe in consecutive sets. In case you happened to miss that match, let's take a look at the day's replay coverage, followed by all of the essential live viewing information.

Monday's Matches to Watch

(23) Ivo Karlovic vs. (3) Andy Murray

Andy Murray continued his brilliant performance in front of his home crowd with a third-round victory over No. 25 Andreas Seppi. Murray played well defensively in that match, winning 48 percent of his receiving points; however, it was a different story on his serve.

The No. 3 seed won 70 percent of his first-serve points, recorded three double-faults and tallied 26 unforced errors. Those statistics are unlike the generally sound Murray, and as it turned out, he was struggling with a shoulder injury during the match. Here's what he had to say about it during a press conference, via Wimbledon.com:

"

Yeah, it's something I had the last two, three days. And, yeah, I mean, I only really feel it when I'm serving. But it's not something that's of major concern to me. But, you know, obviously when you do take a break, it does stiffen up. And my serve was pretty bad after that happened. And then, yeah, once I had the treatment, I served much better. I served way harder. The speeds of my serve increased. Served much better at the end.

"

It will be interesting to see how Murray responds after a day of rest, as he'll need to be in top form to take down the hard-hitting Ivo Karlovic. The No. 23 seed is coming off an upset victory over No. 13 Jo-Wilfried Tsonga after his brilliant services allowed him to tally an improbable 41 aces while winning 90 percent of his first-serve points.

Luckily for Murray, his shoulder only appears to bother him on his own serves, which makes this match highly intriguing considering Karlovic isn't the strongest defensive player in the tournament.

(20) Roberto Bautista Agut vs. (2) Roger Federer

LONDON, ENGLAND - JULY 04: Roger Federer of Switzerland plays a forehand in his Mens Singles Third Round match against Sam Groth of Australia during day six of the Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Championships at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club on Jul

Roger Federer has been playing some impressive tennis since arriving at the All England Club. He breezed past his first two opponents, and despite dropping a set against Sam Groth in Round 3, the Swiss player still dominated practically every aspect of the game.

The No. 2 seed's services were extremely accurate against Groth, as Federer won 90 percent of his first-serve points and tallied 17 aces. When attacking, Federer was highly successful as well, winning 24 of a possible 31 net points and accumulating 51 winners against eight unforced errors. His lone weakness was on the return, as he won just 35 percent of his receiving points and allowed Groth to tally 21 aces.

Federer spoke of the changes he needed to make when facing a hard-hitting opponent during a press conference, via Wimbledon.com:

"

Once the return is played, then it's about reaction, especially when he's serve volleying. You get to the next one, hit a pass. Really, I think it's about keeping a short backswing on the return, trying to see it. And then also sometimes guessing the right way at the right times, remembering patterns where he's gone to, where he's been successful, and where not.

"

While the No. 2 seed wasn't overly impressive on the return against Groth, he did salvage quite a few points with strong volleys. That should play into his favor against Roberto Bautista Agut, as the Spaniard doesn't have a powerful serve and instead wins matches due to his strong defense and ability to limit unforced errors.

(1) Novak Djokovic vs. (14) Kevin Anderson

LONDON, ENGLAND - JULY 03: Novak Djokovic of Serbia plays a forehand in his Gentlemen's Singles Third Round match against Bernard Tomic of Australia during day five of the Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Championships at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Clu

Novak Djokovic continued his assault on the All England Club with a phenomenal showing against No. 27 Bernard Tomic in Round 3. The No. 1 seed has yet to drop a set through three rounds, and that trend may continue, as the powerful Tomic likely served as great preparation for Kevin Anderson, who relies on his strong serve to win matches.

Against Tomic, Djokovic was extremely strong on offense. He won 81 percent of his first-serve points, 18 of a possible 23 net points and tallied 15 aces and 38 winners while accumulating just 12 unforced errors. He handled Tomic's serve well, winning 41 percent of his receiving points while allowing just nine aces.

After the match, Djokovic shared his thoughts on how to deal with a player who possesses such a powerful serve during a press conference, via Wimbledon.com:

"

Obviously I know the importance of holding your serve on the grass court. It's not easy to break players like Bernard, who have a good serve. I managed to get a lot of returns back in play. I think I executed tactically everything I intended before the match to move him around the court, mix up the pace, not really give him the same look. I think overall I played a really, really good match.

"

That will certainly come into play Monday against Anderson. The South African is coming off a victory against Leonardo Mayer after tallying 22 aces and winning 87 percent of his first-serve points. Mayer could do little about Anderson's serve, winning just 24 percent of his receiving points. Djokovic's ability to flourish on defense will be the deciding factor in this one.
