Etienne Capoue to Watford: Latest Transfer Details, Reaction and More
Watford have completed their fifth signing of the summer transfer window with the announcement of the club-record capture of Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Etienne Capoue on Monday.
The France international made just 12 Premier League appearances under Mauricio Pochettino in 2014-15, and he'll make the short move to Vicarage Road after struggling to settle in the Spurs lineup:
Capoue may not be the only Tottenham midfielder making the switch to the Hornets, either, after Sky Sports announced Watford have also agreed a deal to bring in Benjamin Stambouli:
Capoue made a total of 36 Premier League appearances for Spurs in his two years at the club, failing to recapture the same standards that earned him a transfer from Toulouse in the summer of 2013 for a fee in the region of £9 million.
He joins Matej Vydra and Jose Holebas as two of Quique Flores' bigger signings this summer, while Giedrius Arlauskis and Sebastian Prodl arrived as free transfers from Steaua Bucuresti and Werder Bremen, respectively.
