The 2025 NFL Draft is set to kick off on April 24 in Green Bay.

Ward may be the favorite at No. 1, but it's not yet clear if it will be the Tennessee Titans making the selection.

Titans general manager Mike Borgonzi has previously indicated he is open to trading the top pick, and NFL Network's Ian Rapoport wrote earlier this month that the Titans have "an open mind" as to what to do with the selection.

"All options are on the table, including possibly trading the pick, and the Titans are expected to receive calls from other teams," Rapoport wrote on Feb. 9.

Although president of football operations Chad Brinker said in January his franchise "won't pass on a generational talent" with the top pick, it is not clear if the Titans see Ward— or any available player— as that talent.

A team in need of a quarterback, like the Cleveland Browns or New York Giants, could still decide to target Ward if they find a way to trade with the Titans for No. 1.

Ward meanwhile had strong words for teams considering him in the draft when talking to the AP's Stephen Hawkins before receiving the Davey O'Brien award on Monday.

“Okay, you’re either going to draft me or you’re not,” Ward said. “If you don’t draft me, that’s your fault.

"You’ve got to remember you’re the same team that’s got to play me for the rest of my career, and I’ll remember that.”

Ward also told Hawkins he has not yet decided if he will throw during the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine. The event will take place in Indianapolis starting Feb. 24.
