NFL Draft 2025 Rumors: Jaxson Dart 'Intrigues the Jets' amid Aaron Rodgers Exit Buzz
While veteran quarterback Aaron Rodgers' departure from the New York Jets appears to be inevitable, the team is facing uncertainty under center once again this offseason.
ESPN's Rich Cimini suggested that the Jets could address the quarterback position in the 2025 NFL draft, as they appear to be interested in former Ole Miss quarterback Jaxson Dart.
"Keep an eye on Jaxson Dart of Ole Miss. He intrigues the Jets," Cimini wrote.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Dart threw for 4,279 yards, 29 touchdowns and six interceptions during his senior season while also adding 495 rushing yards and three more scores. He improved his draft stock immensely thanks to his strong showing during Senior Bowl week, with some evaluators now projecting him to be the third quarterback off the board behind Colorado's Shedeur Sanders and Miami's Cam Ward.
ESPN's Field Yates predicted in his latest mock draft that Dart would be selected by the Pittsburgh Steelers with the No. 21 overall pick, which he admitted was a lofty projection.
"This projection represents a big rise up the board from where Dart currently ranks outside my top 32, but quarterbacks always have a chance to climb given positional value. Keep an eye on Dart here as we get closer to April," Yates wrote.
The Jets also have veteran backup Tyrod Taylor, who could stabilize the offense while Dart develops. Cimini also named quarterbacks Kirk Cousins and Justin Fields as "external options" for New York this offseason, so it wouldn't be a surprise if the team adds an experienced signal-caller before the draft.
