4 European Under-21 Stars Who Should Be on Borussia Dortmund's Radar
Thomas Tuchel's reign at Dortmund has started with a bright spark and all the right moves, as he and his backroom staff prepare for a season of Bundesliga football that could either make or break his time at the Black and Yellows.
Yet before a single ball is kicked in competition, the club will have to make sure they continue picking up players who can turn things around for his side on the pitch. Good intentions and savvy tactics are one thing, but at the end of the day each team needs to have the right players to accomplish anything.
As such, today we're taking a look at the recent U21 European Championships that have just ended in Prague to take note of any players who could further Tuchel's cause and facilitate Dortmund's quest for success once more.
Sergio Oliveira

The first player on our list is none other than central midfielder Sergio Oliveira of Porto. The 23-year-old box-to-box talent enjoyed a wonderful U21 Euros with Portugal this summer and looks like a talent who could undoubtedly do plenty of damage in the Bundesliga.
Although Oliveira may not grab the headlines like his compatriots William Carvalho and Bernardo Silva, the young player has proven to be an exceptionally smart player in the middle of the pitch.
With Sebastian Kehl retiring, Ilkay Gundogan still not quite like himself and Nuri Sahin rarely off the injury table, Oliveira could fill a whole in Dortmund's midfield with relative ease.
Emre Can

Although Emre Can will be well aware of Dortmund and them of him, the Liverpool defender or midfielder would be an outstanding signing for the Bundesliga side.
Brendan Rodgers may have every intention of keeping Can in defence, but it now seems clear to all that he is undoubtedly one of Europe's most exciting young central midfielders.
Dortmund fans would probably be in uproar at the thought of signing a former Bayern Munich player, but in time he could prove invaluable to Tuchel's side. Well, that's if Liverpool ever had any intention of selling him.
Christian Gunter

One of the top priorities for Dortmund in the transfer window this summer is undoubtedly the need to sign another left-back. Tuchel has done well to pick up Gonzalo Castro from Bayer Leverkusen, as well as Roman Burki from Freiburg, but the club need another defender.
One full-back who certainly showcased his talents this summer was none other than German international Christian Gunter. Another Freiburg player who wouldn't go amiss at the Westfalenstadion.
The 22-year-old may not be as experienced as Marcel Schmelzer and may need some time to catch Erik Durm on the opposite wing, but he would be a very smart signing this summer.
Ondrej Petrak

Another German-based talent who rounds off today's list is FC Nurnberg central midfielder Ondrej Petrak. A central defender by trade but a playmaker who could certainly add something to Dortmund's midfield.
Although the 23-year-old spent last season playing in central defence in the 2. Bundesliga, we saw a different set of skills from the young talent this summer when he played as a defensive midfielder for the Czech Republic U21 side.
According to Whoscored.com nobody picked up more assists in the competition than Petrak, and that was clear to see from anyone who decided to tune in for one of their games. The central midfielder may not be ready to revolutionise Tuchel's midfield just yet, but he's certainly a talent for tomorrow.
