Wimbledon 2015: Saturday Schedule and Predictions for All England Club Bracket
Wimbledon produced plenty of compelling action on Friday at the All England Club, as several of the world's top players looked to advance to the round of 16.
Some flourished on the grass, moving on to the tournament's next stage with ease. Others weren't so lucky.
Both No. 1 seeds advanced in straight sets, as Novak Djokovic and Serena Williams continued their dominant play. The tournament's No. 4 seeds also fared well, with Stan Wawrinka and Maria Sharapova also emerging victorious without dropping a set.

However, there were some upsets as well.
On the men's side, No. 11 Grigor Dimitrov fell to No. 21 Richard Gasquet in three sets, No. 7 Milos Raonic was defeated by No. 26 Nick Kyrgios. For the women's bracket, No. 14 Andrea Petkovic was ousted by Zarina Diyas and No. 23 Samantha Stosur was sent packing by Coco Vandeweghe.
After all of that, Friday's matches still weren't even completed. In a marathon between Marin Cilic and John Isner that lasted more than four hours, play was suspended because of darkness with the score all tied up, 7(7)-6(4), 6(6)-7(8), 6-4, 6(4)-7(7), 10-10. Their match will resume on Saturday, as the American will attempt to upset the Croatian on the Fourth of July.
There are plenty of other highly anticipated matchups on Saturday's slate. So before we delve into some predictions for Centre Court's marquee contests, be sure to take a look at the full order of play.
Sam Groth vs. (2) Roger Federer

Roger Federer has been on fire thus far at Wimbledon. The former world No. 1 has yet to drop a set through two rounds and will be looking to keep that streak alive in Round 3 against a surging Sam Groth.
In the second round, Federer almost appeared playful on the court, toying with Sam Querrey and even striking one lob between his legs.
He finished the match with some impressive numbers, winning 79 percent of his first-serve points, 41 percent of his receiving points and 19 of a possible 22 net points while accumulating 32 winners and just 10 unforced errors thanks to a devastating forehand.
Federer was fantastic on the volley and dominated the match despite not having his best serving day. He shared his thoughts on his performance during a press conference:
"Yeah, I mean, so far so good, you know. Sometimes you can only play as well as your opponent lets you. Sometimes the feeling is good out there.
Today was definitely a good day. I sort of returned well. Served okay. I definitely think I can serve a little bit better. I didn't check my match stats, but I feel like things are definitely good out there.
"
The No. 2 seed has plenty of momentum going forward, and he'll need to continue that form to advance past Groth. The Australian has a monster serve and is coming off a win against fellow countryman James Duckworth after accumulating 24 aces.
Still, Groth isn't the most consistent player—especially with his accuracy—and may not have much of a shot if Federer's return game continues to shine.
Prediction: Federer wins in three sets.
(28) Jelena Jankovic vs. (2) Petra Kvitova

Petra Kvitova is coming off another impressive showing, taking down Kurumi Nara in two sets. Through two matches at the All England Club, the No. 2 seed has only dropped a total of three games.
There weren't many faulty aspects of Kvitova's game against Nara. The Czech produced a very well-rounded performance, racking up 10 aces, winning 75 percent of her first-serve points, 77 percent of second-serve points, 55 percent of receiving points and six of a possible nine net points while accumulating 23 winners.
Her lone statistical blemish was her 14 unforced errors, which came mostly on the return.
Still, Kvitova is generally a very accurate player with great touch, and she spoke about her current form and affinity for Wimbledon during a press conference:
"I'm very pleased [with how] everything [is] going so far. I can't really say surprised. I think I'm kind of handling it better than 2012 when I was defending my first title. I'm nervous before each match when I'm going to play here, especially first round. But it was there today, so...
Every match I'm going to play is great. I'm trying really enjoy it. Of course, playing here on the grass which really suits my game. I really love to play here. It's [a] very nice feeling.
"
Kvitova will look to keep her streak alive against Jelena Jankovic, who has won two matches but struggled in both. After being pushed to the brink by Elena Vesnina in Round 1, the No. 28 seed won in three sets against Evgeniya Rodina in Round 2.
The Serb's serve was powerful, accumulating 12 aces, but her accuracy wavered throughout the match, as she racked up 24 unforced errors.
Expect Jankovic to win a couple of games off Kvitova, but the consistent and disciplined play of the No. 2 seed will allow her to ultimately prevail.
Prediction: Kvitova wins in two sets.
(25) Andreas Seppi vs. (3) Andy Murray

Andy Murray will be looking to keep his winning ways going in front of his home crowd on Saturday, but he'll be facing his first ranked opponent of the tournament, as he will find No. 28 Andreas Seppi across the net at Centre Court.
Through two matches at the All England Club, Murray has yet to drop a set. He's coming off a fine showing against Robin Haase in which he dominated all aspects of the contest.
Murray finished the match winning 82 percent of his first-serve points, 50 percent of receiving points and an impressive 15 of a possible 17 net points while racking up 25 winners and just 11 unforced errors. Simply put, Haase just didn't have an answer for anything Murray threw his way.
After the match, the No. 3 seed shared his thoughts on how his quick victories will help sustain his endurance through the tournament during a press conference:
"Yeah, I think in Grand Slams you have to try to conserve energy when you can really because the two weeks can be quite draining physically and mentally. If you can, you know, get yourself off the court quickly, capitalize if your opponent maybe isn't playing as well, if you're on your game, try to push yourself to keep playing that way. It can pay off towards the end of the tournament.
So, yeah, I'm glad I got done quickly today.
"
Murray will attempt to make quick work of Seppi in the third round, and he'll have a great shot against the struggling Italian. Seppi was pushed to five sets against Borna Coric in Round 2, mostly due to his inconsistencies.
While he's a very powerful player, he struggles with accuracy, which translates into unforced errors. He accumulated 35 of them against Coric.
Though Seppi's power will prove to be a challenge for Murray, he doesn't have a well-rounded enough game to take down the No. 3 seed on the grass at the All England Club. Murray may not win in consecutive sets, but he'll advance to the round of 16.
Prediction: Murray wins in four sets.
