Arda Turan Previously Called Leo Messi 'The Best Player in History of the Game'

It looks like Atletico Madrid star Arda Turan is on his way to Barcelona.

The Turkish international has also been linked with Manchester United and Chelsea but neither of those clubs has Lionel Messi. 

Turan spoke of his respect for Messi in an interview with GQ in the past. 

He said, as per SPORT: "To give passes to Messi... that wouldn't be bad! Leo Messi is not from this world. He's an extraterrestrial. For me, without doubt, he is the best player in the history of the game."

If, as expected, his move to Barcelona goes through, it is fair to say Messi played a part.
