NFL Week 1 Must Bet Game: Minnesota Vikings at Cleveland Browns
NFL Line: Vikings -4
Over/Under: 40
Well, Brett Favre will make his official debut as a Minnesota Viking on Sunday afternoon against the Cleveland Browns. Favre has looked solid in the limited pre-season games he’s played in and has some pretty good weapons to throw to on offense. Bernard Berrian has got to be excited to finally have a quarterback to get him the ball, something he really hasn’t had in his career in both Chicago and Minnesota. The Vikings chose Percy Harvin with their first round draft pick and he has potential to be an explosive player in the NFL despite his size. Of course we cannot forget about number 28, Adrian Peterson running the ball. Peterson and Favre should have great seasons behind a solid, veteran offensive line.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Now that the Minnesota offense seems poised for a solid year, there will be less pressure off a very good defense. They are extremely good up front with three pro bowlers returning in Jared Allen, Pat Williams, and Kevin Williams. The defensive line should get plenty of pressure on the inexperience Brady Quinn. Also, I don’t see an aging Jamal Lewis getting many yards against this defense. It could be a long day for the Cleveland Browns.
As mentioned, Brady Quinn is the starter for the Cleveland Browns who were absolutely awful last year on both sides of the ball. Last year they could not rush the passer, stop the run, or lock down opposing passing games. I think they are in for a rough day at the office going up against this Minnesota offense which has all the pieces now. Favre will have plenty of time to pick apart this secondary and Peterson will have a huge day on the ground as well.
Offensively, Brady Quinn will struggle all afternoon with a tenacious pass rush coming after him and no real threat of a run game to keep them honest. I expect a lot of blitzing from Minnesota to force the young Quinn into making mistakes. Quinn does have Braylon Edwards to throw to but who knows where his head is at right now after wanting to be traded in the off-season. The Browns did bring in a lot of free agents but none that really stand out. I just think this game is one sided and the Vikings should cover the four points rather easily despite playing on the road.
