Nigel Pearson Sacking Leads to New Amazing Stat About Arsene Wenger

Nigel Pearson was sacked as Leicester City manager on Tuesday, and that means the ridiculous stats about Arsene Wenger's longevity have gotten...well, even more ridiculous.

As noted by the Evening Standard, Pearson's sacking means that Wenger has managed more Premier League games during his current spell, with his current club, than all the other Premier League managers put together. 

As the Standard notes: "The 65-year-old Frenchman is preparing to enter his 20th season at the club. During that period he has managed the Gunners in 1,066 matches."

They later point out that "the 18 other top-flight managers have racked up a combined total of 998 games in their current stints at their clubs, 68 less than the Arsenal boss."

Those figures exclude Jose Mourinho's first spell in charge of Chelsea, but rightly so—he did leave, after all!

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is the second-longest-serving manager in the Premier League, having taken charge of 155 games.
