Wimbledon 2015 Results: Winners, Scores, Stats from Tuesday's Singles Bracket
The women's side of the draw at 2015 Wimbledon were rocked with upsets on Tuesday. No. 3 seed Simona Halep lost in three sets to Jana Cepelova, 7-5, 4-6, 3-6. Neither woman's service game meant much, as there were a total of 15 breaks in the match, per Wimbledon.com.
However, Halep shot herself in the proverbial foot with seven double-faults and 34 unforced errors. Cepelova was ready and willing to take advantage, as she was able to gradually break Halep's spirit leading to the big victory. In case you're not well acquainted with Cepelova, Wimbledon gives you a snapshot of the 22-year-old Slovakian.

Report: MLB Vet Unretires After 1 Day
As the first player to pull a major upset, she'll garner some attention on Thursday when she matches up with Monica Niculescu. The two women have played once before in their careers, and Niculescu won that match 6-0, 6-1 in 2014. Their next meeting will undoubtedly be played with more at stake.
The other upset on the women's side featured Ying-Ying Duan of China knocking off No. 12 Eugenie Bouchard in straight sets, 7-6 (7-3), 6-4. Bouchard was also bitten by the double-fault bug. She had 10 of them in the match. In contrast, Ying-Ying was dominant off of her serve. She didn't pile up the aces (three), but she did win 80 percent of her first-service points.

Ying-Ying will take on Tatjana Maria on Thursday. This will be their first match against each other in their careers. Here's a look at the most prominent scores from Tuesday's action. You can see all of the results at Wimbledon.com.

Federer, Kvitova and Murray Move On

No. 2 seeds Roger Federer and Petra Kvitova both handled their first-round matchups with little problem. Federer needed just an hour and seven minutes to dispatch Damir Dzumhur 6-1, 6-3, 6-3. Federer has now advanced past the first round in 13 straight appearances at Wimbledon.
He'll play American Sam Querrey on Thursday. Querrey has failed to win a set against Federer in two previous meetings. Don't expect that to change on Thursday.

Kvitova had an even easier time advancing past Kiki Bertens. It took just 35 minutes for the defending champion to win 6-1, 6-0. After the match was over, Kvitova was proud that her game looked to be at a championship level:
Kvitova may get more of a challenge from Kurumi Nara in the second round. The two women haven't played yet in their careers, but based on her success at the All England Club and her dominance in the first round, Kvitova should still be the heavy favorite.

Hometown favorite Andy Murray had a little difficulty in the second set, but he still eliminated Mikhail Kukushkin 6-4, 7-6 (7-3), 6-4. Next up for Murray is Robin Haase. Murray has won three of the four previous meetings against Haase. In fact, the only time Haase beat Murray was in 2008 when both men were just 20 years old.
Bet on Murray moving on. The rest of the favorites will hope to avoid meeting the same end as Halep and Bouchard.
