Wimbledon 2015 Results: Tuesday Scores and Wednesday Bracket Predictions
Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and Petra Kvitova all wasted little time in easily dispatching their first-round opponents Tuesday at Wimbledon.
Kvitova, the defending champion, was on the court for just 35 minutes as she rolled to a 6-1, 6-0 victory over Kiki Bertens. The powerful Czech player lost just one point on her serve in the two-set match.
Federer didn't have it quite as easy as Kvitova, but he was in charge throughout his match against Damir Dzumhur. Federer won in straight sets, as he put Dzumhur away by a 6-1, 6-3, 6-3 score.

Both Kvitova and Federer are No. 2 seeds at the All England Club.
Nadal has battled injuries this year, which is why he is seeded 10th and not higher. Nadal appeared to be in excellent form in his 6-4, 6-2, 6-4 victory over Thomaz Bellucci.
"It was a very positive victory," Nadal told BBC Sport. "Straight sets, no bad feelings, good backhands. The forehand needs to be a bit more aggressive."
Two big names on the women's side of the draw lost their opening matches. Simona Halep, the No. 3 seed, struggled with her serve throughout and lost a shocker to Jana Cepelova, 5-7, 6-4, 6-3. Cepelova is the 106th-ranked player in the world.

Eugenie Bouchard made it all the way to the Wimbledon final last year, but the 12th seed in this year's tournament dropped her match to Chinese qualifier Ying-Ying Duan. Bouchard dropped the first set in a tiebreaker and played poorly against her 6'1" opponent. She complained about an abdominal muscle tear after the match.

Wednesday's matches
Djokovic ready to take care of business
The men's and women's top seeds will be back at it Wednesday.
Novak Djokovic will face Jarkko Nieminen in the first match of the day on Center Court, while Serena Williams will face a challenge from Timea Babos in the third match of the day on Wimbledon's most prestigious court.
In between, fifth-seeded Kei Nishikori of Japan will battle Santiago Giraldo.
Djokovic is the defending champion, and he won his opening-round match over Philipp Kohlschreiber in perfunctory fashion by a 6-4, 6-4, 6-4 margin. Nieminen is an unseeded Finnish player who defeated Australian Lleyton Hewitt in five sets in his opening match.
It will be difficult for Nieminen to keep his composure against the top-ranked player in the world. Djokovic should pass this test with ease.
Prediction: Djokovic, 6-3, 7-5, 6-2
Williams ready to continue her march
Serena Williams can continue to rewrite the history books if her fortnight is a successful one.
While she was unsuccessful at Wimbledon last year, when she finished in third place, she won the U.S. Open and followed that with Grand Slam victories in the Australian Open and French Open this year. If she wins at Wimbledon this year, it will be the second "Serena Slam" (all four Grand Slam titles consecutively but not in the same year) of her career.
Of course, it would also keep her alive for the calendar-year Grand Slam if she can also win the U.S. Open.

Serena defeated Margarita Gasparyan 6-4, 6-1 in the opening round. She did not play her best in the first set, but she returned to form in the second.
Williams will meet Timea Babos of Hungary, who has never been past the second round in any of the Grand Slam events. Babos defeated Petra Cetkovska in straight sets in the opening round.
It should be another solid win for Williams, but she could have trouble in the first set before she plays her best tennis.
Prediction: Williams, 7-5, 6-2
Nishikori can make a statement
Kei Nishikori is the fifth-ranked player in the world, and he has been having an excellent season. He has put together a singles record of 37-9 this year, and he should be in a position to make a long run at Wimbledon.
While fans do not regularly put him in the same category with Djokovic, Federer, Andy Murray and Stan Wawrinka, Nishikori is at the next level below and could be ready to challenge the best players in the world.
Nishikori defeated Simone Bolelli in five sets in his opening-round match. He will meet Santiago Giraldo in the second round. Giraldo was a straight-set winner over Joao Souza in the opening round.
Giraldo is a tough player who will push Nishikori hard. Look for Nishikori to survive this match.
Prediction: Nishikori, 6-4, 6-7 (5-7), 2-6, 7-6 (9-7), 6-1
