While fans may think they know best, there's a reason they are fans and not professional athletes.
On the second hole at the Travelers Championship on Sunday, a spectator tried to give Bubba Watson some advice on a tough shot; the fan called for a low 4-iron. Instead of listening, the 36-year-old trusted his gut and went for the big shot over a tree.
The result: a beautiful setup for birdie.
Of course, Watson—the tournament co-leader at the time—had to tease the fan after a result like that.
Watson, who finished 16-under, went on to win the tournament for the second time after taking down Paul Casey on the second playoff hole.
