Real Madrid Transfer News: Latest on Cristiano Ronaldo and David De Gea Rumours
Real Madrid fans will be buoyed by the news that Cristiano Ronaldo has no intention of leaving the Bernabeu.
The superstar has not spoken to the media since March, but he broke his silence in an interview with Portuguese newspaper A Bola. According to Rob Dawson of the Manchester Evening News, he said:
"I haven't spoken to the media lately. I've made an exception for A Bola just to say that the news with the intention of creating a conflict between Real Madrid and I is absolutely false.
I'm very happy at the world's biggest and most-supported club and confident that next season will be full of success.
I repeat once again that I'm at the best club in the world and it’s at the best club in the world where I want to start winning again.
I'd sincerely ask to stop with the false news and afford me a little peace. Real Madrid and I are very happy with each other.

The news will undoubtedly come as a relief to Los Blancos supporters, as Ronaldo has long been linked with a move back Manchester United.
The forward was in typically stunning form last season, scoring a staggering 59 goals and making 19 assists in all competitions. The 30-year-old outscored Lionel Messi (and everyone else) in La Liga and finished joint top scorer in the Champions League.
As Opta Jose notes, his assist tally was a personal record:
Given Ronaldo's obvious continued affection for United, the Ballon d'Or winner will continue to be linked with an Old Trafford return until he retires, but for the time being, he's staying put.
Talks Over David De Gea Hit Stumbling Block
Less encouraging news for Real is their negotiation for David De Gea.

According to Jeremy Cross of the Daily Star, Real and United have reached a stalemate over their bids for De Gea and Sergio Ramos, having offers of £15 million and £30 million turned down respectively.
United are keen to receive £35 million for De Gea, while Los Blancos want £40 million for Ramos.
The Manchester Evening News' James Robson is pleased United aren't letting go of the goalkeeper without a fight:
The stopper has established himself as one of the top 'keepers in world football since joining the Red Devils, and while Iker Casillas remains an exceptional player, he is no longer the impenetrable force he once was.
Dawson believes De Gea's abilities speak for themselves at this point:
Stuart Mathieson, also of the MEN, estimates De Gea's saves were worth 18 points to United last season.
The Spaniard's contract runs out next summer, so it's wholly possible Real will simply wait another year and snap him up for free.
However, with both clubs desperate to land each other's players, a swap deal with De Gea and Ramos simply trading places is also a possible outcome.
In that scenario, Real would likely get the better of the deal as De Gea's saves are worth more points than Ramos' defending. As United are hardly short of transfer funds, an exchange is probably the best option to guarantee a quality addition to their side.
