England vs. Canada: Goals, Highlights from Women's World Cup Match

Sean Swaby@seanswabyUK Staff WriterJune 28, 2015

England got off to a dream start in their quarter-final clash with Canada in the Women's World Cup on Saturday.

Jodie Taylor struck in the 11th minute for the Lionesses after Canada endured an awful giveaway deep in their own half.

The celebration continued, as they scored again through Lucy Bronze just three minutes later to make it 2-0 before 15 minutes had even elapsed.

England are trying to reach rare territory in the international stage in Canada.

Canada pulled one back through Christine Sinclair after England failed to properly deal with a ball hit into the box.
