US Senior Open of Golf 2015: Leaderboard Scores and Highlights from Friday
The second round of the 2015 U.S. Senior Open from Del Paso Country Club in Sacramento, California, was completed on Friday with Tom Watson on top of the leaderboard for the second straight day. He has company, though, as he is tied with Peter Fowler and Jeff Maggert for the lead.
There is not much room for error for the leaders, as a foursome of golfers await one stroke back of the trio.
Here's a look at the updated leaderboard after Friday's events and highlights from some of the day's top golfers:

| T1 | Peter Fowler | -5 | -4 (66) |

| T1 | Tom Watson | -5 | -1 (69) |
| T4 | Colin Montgomerie | -4 | -2 (68) |
| T4 | Bart Bryant | -4 | -5 (65) |
| T4 | Jimmy Carter | -4 | -1 (69) |

Watson shot one under on Friday, lowering his score to five under for the tournament. He had a fast start with birdies on three of the first nine holes, including this one on the ninth to put him at seven under as the U.S. Open's Twitter gives us a look:
But he ran into trouble on the back nine. Watson bogeyed three of his last nine, including one on the 18th that put him into a three-way tie for the lead.
Both Fowler and Maggert had big days.
Fowler shot four under on the day with seven birdies, including two straight on the first and second and again on the 16th and 17th holes.
Maggert, who started the day at even, went five under. He used a charge on the back nine and birdied five straight holes from the 15th to the first. He had eight birdies on the day, and according to the U.S. Open's Twitter account, it was a monumental effort:
He isn't the only one who shot a 65, though. Starting the day at one over, Bart Bryant went five under in the second round to finish the day in a tie for fourth place at four under.
Going even on the first eight, Bryant ignited with birdies on five of his final nine holes.
The course did not prove to be as kind for others, including Billy Andrade, as Fox Sports 1 caught his struggles on the 13th hole. He finished one over on the day and is even for the tournament.
After a first round that saw him go one over, Bernhard Langer came back strong on Friday, shooting four under to move into a tie for eighth at three under.
Starting on the back nine, Langer birdied three of his first nine holes as the USGA shows how he navigated Del Paso smoothly:
P.H. Horgan was among the leaders after Thursday. He was not as successful on Friday. Starting the day at three under, Horgan shot four over with a pair of double bogeys on four and 13.
Watson and Colin Montgomerie, who shot a two-under and is tied for fourth at four under, seem to be the only consistent golfers in the field in the first two days. If they stay true to their form of the past rounds, then expect them to get to the top and stay there when this tournament is all said and done.
