In recent times, athletes have become some of the most stylish breeds of people in the world. No matter what the sport is, these individuals have taken pride in their fashion, tying it to their vibrant on-court personalities.

With dollar signs lining their pockets, some of our favorite sports stars now have all of the influence and cash they need to make a dent in life's ongoing style wars.

Eight guys in particular have found a perfect mix of performance and fashion. Dipping into both sides of the equation, we've brought those names into the light. Here now are eight athletes with the most style on and off the court.

LeBron James

The greatest basketball player in the world is also one of the most fashionable.

Since joining the league in 2003, LeBron James has undergone a transformation. His style and flare has matured—just like his game. Fresh off his 35.8 points, 8.8 assists and 13.3 rebounds average during the NBA Finals, King James managed to also leave each game looking dapper.

His Tackma jackets and Just Don hats signify James' decision to leap from high fashion to streetwear clothing—a leap he made effortlessly.

James has kept everyone on their toes with his fashion choices and dominant on-court play. The combination makes him a true ambassador of style.

Victor Cruz

Victor Cruz is easily one of the most stylish athletes on and off the field of play. He's quickly taken his love for fashion and made himself a major player in the industry—head over to his Instagram if you don't believe me.

As one of the most ambitious members of the New York Giants, Cruz's fashion sense reflects his hard work and dedication. It's an excellent fusion of streetwear, high fashion and other exotic looks. Linking himself up with popular brands like Kith—he was featured in their 2014 lookbook, per Chris Harris of HypeBeast.com—and being a Nike advocate on social media proves Cruz understands what's in right now.

Nothing is ever dull with Cruz. The way he plays the game, and his sense of fashion is a big reason for that.

Russell Westbrook

One of the biggest off-court fashion icons in the game of basketball right now is Oklahoma City Thunder guard Russell Westbrook.

Westbrook is one of the NBA's top stars, thanks to his powerful on-court arsenal. His flashy, charismatic style off the court matches up with his punishing style on it.

If the classification here is "guys who stand out," then Westbrook is a top choice. He's bending the world of fashion, collaborating with stores like Barneys while also becoming one of the NBA's most unstoppable assets.

At this rate, all we can say is that it's going to be super interesting to see what the 26-year-old does next.

Alex Morgan

World Cup winner and soccer superstar Alex Morgan is not only one of the most endearing players on the field of play, she also is quite the fashion rockstar.

StyleBistro.com provided an extensive look at all of the different looks Morgan has sported during her career. And as you can tell by the images, Morgan has a very vibrant fashion sense.

Even with on-field fashion limitations, Morgan still brings it. Her bright pink colored headband on the pitch is a testament to her bold style.

Whether she's blasting goals or walking the red carpet, Morgan is truly one of a kind.

Dwyane Wade

Dwyane Wade has always been an enthralling, stylistic player. We've seen this from his championship days with Shaquille O'Neal to his recent NBA titles with LeBron James and Chris Bosh.

No matter who Wade is playing with, he always keeps it upper echelon. Fashion-wise, Wade has been one of the NBA's biggest innovators. He constantly pushes the envelope with his wardrobe selections, as seen on his website DwyaneWade.com.

When he's at his best, Wade's on-court game combined with his fashion sense still makes him one of the biggest crossover stars in the sport. No matter what happens, the Miami Heat will always appreciate the guard they drafted out of Marquette.

Odell Beckham Jr.

Flare and bravado are two ways to describe New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr.

At the age of 22, Beckham is one of the top players in the game. "OBJ" has also managed to blend into pop culture as well. His eccentric personality, amazing athletic ability across sports and his Madden 16 cover victory turned him into a household name.

Those avenues, plus Instagram, have given Beckham a platform to showcase his fashion sense. The young Giants wide receiver even hosted his own fashion show during Super Bowl week, per Jordan Raanan of NJ.com.

Beckham is easily one of the NFL's top dressed athletes. He found a harmonious blend between couture fashion and streetwear—a combo that has really taken flight in recent times.

The main difference between Beckham and a lot of other "stylish" athletes is that he takes risks. He doesn't conform to the norm. Everything he does is different. You really have to respect the Giants wide receiver for that.

James Harden

Whether he's slashing to the rim or shooting from deep, James Harden is one of the most entertaining athletes in the NBA.

As the runner-up to Stephen Curry in the 2014-15 MVP race, Harden garnered a lot of attention this past season. He helped the Houston Rockets make a deep playoff push with his offensive prowess.

Harden has also become one of the most fashionable players off the court. His style is a unique combination of conservative layers mixed with vibrant color patterns. He was even dubbed "eclectic" by Matthew Waxman of GQ Magazine.

No matter where he is, Harden's best accessory is always his trademark beard. That look compliments his wardrobe choices and outlandish style on the hardwood.

Serena Williams

Serena Williams has dominated everything she's ever done. On the court she's won 20 Grand Slam titles, using power, aggression and precision.

Besides crushing her foes, Williams is also one of the most stylish players in the sport. She doesn't shy away from unique color patterns—as seen in the picture above—nor does she conform to tennis standards.

As a celebrity, she's also able to showcase her style away from the court. You can see her high fashion sense during events like the Academy Awards, via Sports Illustrated.

Serena Williams will always be a name people remember. She's earned that.

Robinson Cano

Along with Felix Hernandez, Robinson Cano is the face of the Seattle Mariners.

Despite his struggles in 2015, Cano is still one of the most fluid offensive talents in the game today. When everything is working, he presents this casual, buttery style of play that translates well.

In the world of fashion, he's the same way. The wardrobe choices made by the Mariners second baseman are effortless. Cano has really embraced the world of high fashion and streetwear since joining the Mariners. He's taken that New York City influence he gained playing for the New York Yankees and spun it his own way out in Seattle.

Perhaps it's his ties to Jay Z's Roc Nation Sports—a group of stylish business people—that has Cano looking so dapper. Regardless, he belongs here.

Serge Ibaka

The second-best dressed member of the Oklahoma City Thunder isn't Kevin Durant. It's the shot-blocking sensation from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Serge Ibaka.

Ibaka dresses clean. That's the best way you can articulate it. He has this European-like fashion sense that relies on slim cuts and conservative color schemes—as seen during NBA All-Star weekend, per the New York Times.

It works well for Ibaka. The talented power forward has not only performed admirably for the Thunder, but he's also become one of he most revered fashion minds in the game today.
