Titans LP Field to Be Renamed Nissan Stadium: Details, Comments, Reaction
The Tennessee Titans will play home games this season at the newly renamed Nissan Stadium, which had been known as LP Field since 2006.
The Titans confirmed that the franchise and Nissan had agreed on a 20-year naming-rights pact. Jim Wyatt of the Tennessean was the first to report on the deal.
Wyatt wrote that the new naming-rights deal gives the Titans stability, as their stadium lease will not expire until 2028.

The Titans have been playing in the Nashville-based stadium since 1999, spending their first two years in Tennessee playing home games at Memphis' Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium (1997) and Vanderbilt Stadium (1998).
In 2006, Louisiana-Pacific and the Titans agreed to a 10-year naming-rights deal that paid the team a total of $30 million.
Nissan is another Tennessee-based business: Wyatt's report noted that its North American headquarters moved to Franklin in 2008. The Titans will christen the newly renamed Nissan Stadium on Aug. 23 with a preseason game against the St. Louis Rams.
Tennessee's first regular-season game at home will take place on Sept. 27 with a Week 3 matchup against the AFC South-rival Indianapolis Colts.
