Calvin Johnson Sends Jordan Spieth Signed Football, Jersey After Kind Words

As Jordan Spieth continues his breakout season, the 21-year-old golfer has already earned the respect of one of the biggest stars in the NFL.

Earlier this month, Spieth was part of an ESPN.com interview that included numerous professional athletes and coaches. The topic: Is Cleveland Cavaliers superstar LeBron James the best athlete in the world?

Spieth agreed with many of the athletes polled and said James is the best athlete on the planet. However, he also believes Detroit Lions receiver Calvin Johnson is quite the athlete as well:

"

I would say yes, but I'd put into that same equation Calvin Johnson and Cam Newton. As an athlete, I feel like Calvin Johnson can do anything. Cam Newton's hands are twice the size of mine; he's a freak athlete. Or Bo Jackson still might be the best.

"

Johnson apparently saw what Spieth had to say about him and wanted to reciprocate the love. As a cool sign of respect, Megatron recently sent Spieth an autographed football and jersey.

Just a couple more things for the rising star to add to his trophy case.
