
Darryl Hamilton, Former MLB Outfielder, Dies at 50
Darryl Hamilton, a former MLB outfielder and analyst for MLB Network, was found dead on Sunday after a suspected murder-suicide, per Dale Lezon of the Houston Chronicle.
According to authorities, Hamilton, 50, was found in one area of the house and Monica Jordan, 44, was found in another. It is believed that Hamilton was shot multiple times and that Jordan died after shooting herself, per Lezon's report.
Lezon reported the couple's 13-month-old son was also found in the house, unharmed, and was taken by the state's Child Protective Services.

Hamilton spent 13 seasons in the MLB, serving stints with Milwaukee, Texas, San Francisco, Colorado and the New York Mets. He hit .291 for his career, while his 385 putouts in center field led the American League in 1996. He also led the AL in fielding percentage for a center fielder in 1996 and led the NL in that stat in 1998-99.
