US Open Leaderboard 2015: Sunday Score Updates and Tournament Predictions
The final round at the 2015 U.S. Open is set to be one of the most memorable days in the tournament’s history, with four men tied for the lead at Chambers Bay.
Poised on four under par after three days of gripping action, there’s nothing between Jordan Spieth, Branden Grace, Dustin Johnson and Jason Day, as they go in pursuit of one of the most coveted prizes in golf.
Day 4 of the U.S. Open is one of the most hotly anticipated segments of the sporting calendar and with a quartet of players each feeling as though they have a genuine chance of glory, thrills are guaranteed at University Place.
Here’s all the information you need on where to catch the action and a look ahead at how Sunday’s action will play out.
Grace to Feel the Pressure

After surviving some brutal conditions late on Day 3, Grace will have been delighted to have emerged with a level-par round of 70. Now he finds himself in the unfamiliar position of leading a major championship going into the final day.
Jason Sobel of ESPN.com is already writing the headlines, should the South African triumph:
Grace has the game suited perfectly to the links conditions present at Chambers Bay. He’s a sensible player whose style is based on fundamental principles and his low, stinger-style shots off the tee and into the green have helped negate the whipping winds that have wreaked havoc at the golf course so far this week.

But can his game stay together alongside three quality players on the final day? As noted here by the European Tour Twitter account, Grace has proven himself to be a tremendous front-runner:
There’s a difference going out in the penultimate pairing at the U.S. Open, though. Grace has never been in the position to go on and win a major title before and although his talent is undeniable, Johnson, Spieth and Day have the tools to handle the occasion a little better.
The South African won’t be in the mix for glory come Sunday evening, but he’ll be all the better for the experience.
Day Edges Out Spieth and Johnson

There was a point on Day 2 when Day didn’t look as though he was going to continue; gripped by vertigo, he slumped to his haunches. As noted by Pat Forde of Yahoo Sports, similar issues hampered the Aussie during his third round, but he still produced a stunning birdie-birdie finish to tie for the lead.
His two-under 68 on Day 3 was nothing short of remarkable, as we can see here:
It was one of the grittiest rounds of golf you will ever see and the momentum he will carry into Day 4 will see the Australian, who has finished in the top five in three of his last five appearances at the U.S. Open, push on to claim his maiden major title.

He’ll have solid competition from a couple of Americans. Spieth is bidding for consecutive major victories after he won the Masters earlier this year. As noted here by the PGA Tour Twitter feed, winning at Chambers Bay would be nothing short of remarkable given his tender years:
Johnson has also played brilliantly this week. The course is well set for long hitters and the American’s power and accuracy off the tee has put him in excellent positions to make birdies. But he’s a player that’s never quite been able to make that final step in a major championship despite being in the mix on many occasions.

Admittedly, the same could be said of Day. But the Australian seems to have an unshakeable steel about him this week, as was evident by the sensational style in which he hauled himself to the top of the leaderboard during Saturday’s gripping round.
As noted by PGA Tour player Billy Horschel, Day doesn’t look like a man who’ll be denied:
The 27-year-old knows what it’s like to be in the hunt in the final embers of a major championship and although he’s never been able to clinch one of the most coveted titles in golf, his game is good enough to win at Chambers Bay. Factor in the phenomenal temperament he has showcased throughout, Day will be victorious come Sunday’s climax.
