USMNT Watch: Yedlin Loan Discussed, Gatt Gives Injury Update
One of the key names to watch this summer in the United States men's national team talent pool is DeAndre Yedlin.
The Tottenham Hotspur right-back is looking to impress manager Mauricio Pochettino ahead of the 2015/16 English Premier League season with a solid summer in red, white and blue.
However, he may need to stand out in the eyes of another Premier League boss due to recent events at Spurs.

In our latest USMNT Watch, we take a look at Yedlin's situation as well as give updates on how the rest of the players in the talent pool are faring, including one returning from a long injury break.
Yedlin Loan Deal Discussed
Yedlin's hopes of spending next season at White Hart Lane took a hit this week, as the north London side scooped up Kieran Trippier from Burnley.
With the new signing entering the club, speculation on Yedlin's whereabouts for next season started to swirl. According to John Percy of the Sunday Telegraph, Yedlin could join Norwich City on loan:
While nothing is set in stone yet, a move to Carrow Road would help Yedlin's development, as he would see playing time with the newly-promoted Canaries, who are expected to spend most of the season in the bottom half of the table.
Yedlin also spoke to Tottenham's website about his first season in England and his plans for the next few months.
"I’m excited about it! Hopefully I’ll come back fit and sharp. It will be good because I will be at the same level as everyone else when we all come back rather than coming in mid-way through the campaign as I did this year," Yedlin said about the club's preseason.
If Yedlin puts in a few good showings at the 2015 CONCACAF Gold Cup in July, we could see loan interest grow in the player.
Gatt Shares Positive Injury News
Josh Gatt has been on the sidelines for most of the last year with an injury issue, and concern grew when he left his first match back at Molde with a knock.
The winger shared some positive news about his health on Twitter on Thursday:
If all goes well for the 23-year-old, he could back on the field soon, which would be a welcome sight to many USMNT supporters.
Movement in Mexico
A plethora of USMNT players shifted sides in Mexico over the past two weeks, including Greg Garza and Joe Corona.
Garza moved from Club Tijuana to Atlas on loan, where he will replace Edgar Castillo, who is off to Monterrey. Corona left Xolos for Veracruz on a loan during an extremely active movement period on June 11.

The biggest deal involving an American in Liga MX over the last two weeks came out of Club Leon, as Miguel Ibarra inked a deal with the club.
Herculez Gomez, who recently spent time on loan at Puebla, could be set for a move away from Mexico, per Goal.com's Ives Galarcep. The New York Cosmos and some unnamed MLS sides are interested in the forward's services.
U20s Bow Out of World Cup on Penalties
In the wee hours of the morning on the East Coast on June 14, the USMNT U20 side was eliminated from the FIFA U-20 World Cup by Serbia on penalties in the quarterfinals. Serbia went on to win the final over Brazil.
Goalkeeper Zack Steffen was the standout performer in the match, as he kept the Yanks alive on numerous occasions in the shootout.

Steffen should be in the mix for a spot on the U23 Olympic qualifying squad in the fall, along with some of his U20 teammates like Gedion Zelalem, Emerson Hyndman and Rubio Rubin.
Dempsey Suspended, Zardes Scores in MLS
The big news out of MLS this week was the three-game suspension of Clint Dempsey. The USMNT captain tore up the referee's book in extra time of Seattle's U.S. Open Cup loss to Portland on Tuesday. Dempsey missed the first of three MLS games on Saturday, as the Sounders fell to San Jose 2-0.
Gyasi Zardes scored one of the LA Galaxy's five goals on Saturday night at StubHub Center. The electric forward netted the club's third tally of the contest in the 56th minute. Omar Gonzalez, Robbie Rogers and Maurice Edu all played 90 minutes in the match.

Dillon Serna handed Colorado a much-needed point at home on Friday night with an equalizer in the 88th minute against FC Dallas.
Michael Bradley, Mix Diskerud, DaMarcus Beasley and Brek Shea all featured for 90 minutes in their respective games on Saturday.
Perry Kitchen, Steve Birnbaum, Charlie Davies, Juan Agudelo, Kyle Beckerman, Nick Rimando, Luis Gil, Matt Besler, Graham Zusi and Benny Feilhaber will all be in action on Sunday.
