Wes Welker's Horse Undrafted Wins Diamond Jubilee Stakes, Nets Welker $473K

NFL wide receiver Wes Welker received a welcome payday when his horse, Undrafted, won the Diamond Jubilee Stakes.

According to ESPN's Darren Rovell, the win comes with a $473,000 prize for Welker: 

Welker was unable to watch the event live as he was taking care of his daughter, who, according to FoxSports.com, was suffering from Bell's palsy. But Welker took to Twitter to express his enthusiasm: 

Undrafted had 14-1 odds to win it with jockey Frankie Dettori leading the charge. The five-year-old horse now has $1,042,178 in career earnings. It was Undrafted's fifth win in 20 races.
